It’s been mere five months that Motorola entered the Indian market with its new set of Moto devices, and the company has already sold over a million units. A report by The Times of India reveals how quickly Indians are adapting to the online market and Flipkart has already sold more than a million Moto devices.
In fact, Sachin Bansal, founder and CEO of Flipkart told the news site that the sales sales figures should put Motorola among the top five mobile brands in India. Motorola re-entered the Indian market earlier this year with its best selling Moto G, followed by the slightly high-end Moto X and uber-affordable Moto E. It chose online retailer Flipkart, over offline distribution modes.
While Moto G and Moto E are considered the company’s best-selling devices, the slightly higher-end Moto X has also captured the attention of audiences. Aimed at budget users, the Moto E is priced at Rs 6,999. It sports a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1GB RAM, 1850mAh battery and the company has guaranteed Android 4.4 KitKat with future updates. Check out our Moto E review.
The Moto G retails at Rs 12,499 for the 8GB and Rs 13,999 for the 16GB. It is easily one of the best value-for-money offerings under Rs 15,000 and quite possibly under Rs 20,000 as well. Read our complete Moto G review.
While Moto G changed the mainstream smartphone landscape and proved that we needn’t rely on local brands for good specs and low price, the Moto X sitting in the mid-range segment, priced at around Rs 23,000, puts quad-core and octa-core phones to shame. Here’s our complete Moto X review.
